Austin A. Bell – Belltowns Historic Condo Building

Austin Bell is a historic condo building in the heart of Belltown, located on First Avenue between Battery and Bell Street. The building has 52 units, with a mix of studios, one bedrooms, lofts and 2 bedroom units. The units have views ranging from the Puget Sound, the Space Needle and the beautifully appointed courtyard. The rooftop deck showcases the beauty of Seattle.
Originally built in 1889 as a hotel by the second pioneer child born in Seattle, Mr. Austin A. Bell. The building suffered a major fire in 1981 and only the historic facade survived the damage. The building underwent to the conversion to condominiums in 1997, but kept the historic facade and showcases elements of the original building in the details inside the lobby and hallways.
The Austin Bell is one of my favorite condo buildings in Seattle.  It is smaller in scale than most buildings, but it has a charm and a historic significance that is unrivaled in the neighborhood.  If you haven’t been in this building yet, I would love to show you around.
