The Listings are Coming! The Listing are Coming!
If the data trend continues, the darkest days (for home buyers) are behind us.
The above graph shows the number of new listings in Seattle for single-family homes over the last 5 years.
The above graph shows how incredibly limited the number of new listings are. But if we can look beyond that (since it is much out of our control, and I always like to look on the bright side of things), we can see that mid-March is when we start to see an uptick in the number of new homes coming on the market for sale.
So, my dear home-buyers, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Don’t give up! We should continue to see more and more houses become available, with the highest numbers in September. Stay focused, stay positive and let’s get you into your dream home!
