Not to spend too much time looking in the rear-view mirror, but this week in 2018 was the tipping point for Seattle real estate, and at the time we had no idea. This week had some interesting changes from the week prior:
- For the first time in 10 weeks, we are seeing fewer total number of available homes and condos for sale
- New listings are being absorbed quickly, but we saw a huge jump in the percentage of “crusty rusty” listing for all home types this week.
- Condos had better overall metrics this week than houses, which is a huge shift as the housing market has been stronger than the condo market for 9 months now.
